Biliary and renal drainage

Biliary and renal drainage are specialised, minimally invasive procedures designed to relieve blockages in the bile ducts or urinary tract, restoring the natural flow of bile from the liver and urine from the kidneys.

Female urology

Female urology specialists treat many disorders of the bladder and pelvic floor.

Intravenous pyelogram (IVP)

If you have problems with your urinary tract, your consultant may order an intravenous pyelogram (IVP).

Laparoscopic urology

Laparoscopic urology is a minimally invasive surgery used to treat conditions of the urinary tract and reproductive organs. It uses a laparoscope (a small camera on a thin tube) and specialised instruments inserted through small incisions (keyholes) to operate, rather than one large incision.

Pelvic floor repair

If your pelvic floor disease symptoms do not respond to conservative treatment your consultant may recommend surgery for pelvic floor repair.

Transurethral resection of bladder tumour (TURBT)

TURBT uses a resectoscope to access and operate on the bladder via the urethra.
