Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is a targeted treatment that uses extreme cold to freeze and destroy abnormal or cancerous cells, and is used for a range of conditions including skin lesions and early-stage prostate cancer.
Dermatological surgery
Dermatological surgery includes benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) surgery of the skin.
Excision of skin lesion
Skin lesions are found on or just below the skin. Examples of skin lesions are epidermoid cysts, lipomata (benign tumour of fatty tissue), skin tags and moles.
Mole removal
Moles are a form of pigmented lesion. Benign (non cancerous) lesions can simply be left alone. However if your mole bothers you in any way, our expert team at Nuffield Health Parkside may recommend removal (excision).
Photodynamic therapy (PDT)
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a technique for treating skin cancers and sun-damaged skin which could turn cancerous if left untreated.
Scar revision
Scar revision uses a range of surgical and non-surgical treatments to improve the appearance and feel of a scar. The goal is to make the scar less noticeable and to relieve any associated discomfort or tightness.
Skin cancer surgery
There are several types of surgery for skin cancer. In the first instance your consultant may want to perform an excisional biopsy to confirm the cancer and remove it.
