Anterior segment reconstruction
The front part of your eye including your iris (coloured part of your eye), cornea and lens are called the anterior segment. Anterior segment reconstruction is a surgical procedure to repair or rebuild the front structures of the eye, including the cornea, iris, and lens. This procedure is typically required after severe trauma, such as a penetrating injury, or due to major complications from a previous eye surgery.
