Breast reconstruction

A breast reconstruction is an operation to recreate a breast shape after you have had a mastectomy (breast removal). There are two types of breast reduction procedures, which include breast reconstruction using an implant and breast reconstruction using a latissimus dorsi flap.

IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy)

IMRT, also known as Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy, is a type of high-precision radiotherapy that uses computer-controlled linear accelerators to send radiation beams of different strengths to the tumour, whilst minimising damage to surrounding health tissue.
