If you're in need of an energy boost that will last, these protein-packed energy balls are just the thing. Nutritional Therapist Mary Cotter provides this simple and delicious recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. crunchy peanut butter (sugar free)
  • 1 tbsp. hemp seed protein powder
  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp. goji berries (soaked in warm water for 5 minutes)
  • 1 tbsp. desiccated coconut
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • Just mash everything in a bowl with a fork and then roll into balls. Simple!

    Nutritional information

    Protein-rich snacks balance blood sugar and impact our mood, weight and energy. Protein is found in the peanut butter, hemp seeds and chia seeds in this recipe. Hemp is a complete protein, meaning it contains all the amino acids that help build our body's cells.

    Chia seeds are also a good source of heart healthy omega 3 oils.
