Following the recent CQC inspection of the Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital, Hospital Director Sasha Burns said:
“I am pleased that in the recent CQC inspection Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital was found to be ‘Good’ in all areas and deemed ‘Outstanding’ in leadership. The result reflects the daily hard work and dedication of an excellent team that I am proud of and very fortunate to lead. We feel this report is a public reflection on how much we care for both our patients and those that deliver services.
Patient feedback was consistently good; patients were extremely positive about the care and treatment they received. Inspectors reported that the hospital has a good track record of safety and that there is a culture where staff can report a concern or incidence. The hospital showed high levels of cleanliness to prevent and control infection. The hospital had scored 99% for cleanliness in the annual Patient-Led assessment of the Care Environment.
The report concluded that the hospital is committed to provide the best patient-centred care and treatment. All patients are respected as individuals and empowered partners in their care. All staff engaged with patients in a friendly and caring manner working together to deliver coordinated care, which met the needs of the individuals demonstrating the importance of flexibility, choice and continuity of care.”
