Mrs Clare Bates

BTEC National Certificate in Audiology, Post Grad Diploma in CBT, HTS in Vestibular Testing and Treatment, Professional Qualification in Technical Audiology and Audiological Sciences


Clare is a self-motivated Audiologist with 25 years’ experience, committed to driving change, improve quality and efficiency of the Dizzy Patient Pathway and Services available. Clare was recently awarded the prestigious UK title of British Academy of Audiology (BAA) ‘Audiologist of the year 2016/2017’. Through her work she aims to reduce the incidence of falls and re-referrals to ENT specialists/departments.

Clare strongly believes in education of GPs and patients, streamlining the referral pathway from GPs, ENT specialists or Insurance Services to treatment and support.

Clare now wants to build a Private Service of national recognition for the treatment of Vestibular Dizzy Patients.

Clare currently manages the Vestibular Rehabilitation team at the Freeman Hospital Trust within the Audiology Department, ENT.

In the future looking to introduce the full battery of Vestibular Testing with VNG, VEMP, Calorics and VHit

Personal interests

In her free time Clare loves running, reading and spending time with her family and their black Labrador.
