Your emotional wellbeing is every bit as important as your physical wellbeing, and can affect your physical health too.

One of the most common emotionally-led health concerns is stress. Stress has its benefits, helping to motivate us to respond to the demands placed on us. But when stress becomes chronic and overwhelming it can lead to negative health outcomes, including obesity, heart disease and depression.

Practical emotional wellbeing support

The Space to Thrive programme will provide you with practical support to monitor and address the stressors in your life and optimise your wellbeing.

You’ll be taken through seven modules where you'll be asked a series of questions to ascertain your goals and help you to have greater awareness of thoughts, feelings and behaviours. You'll be provided with appropriate activities and resources in response to help you to address any areas for improvement. The modules are designed to be done to your own timescales, when it suits you, but as a rough guide it should take around eight weeks to complete.

Throughout the programme you'll find out more about:

  • What stress is
  • How to cope with stress
  • Tips for managing your lifestyle
  • How to improving communication and build stronger relationships
  • How to build wellbeing and resilience into the future.
