Our primary care services provide a fast, easy and cost-effective way to access to a GP. This means common presenting conditions are not left unchecked and employees receive early intervention for their health concerns.

Our GP services are designed to fit around the changing work environment and offers the choice of onsite services in the workplace, online GP services to support them at home or when travelling or face to face consultations in our network.

Our national network of clinics and hospitals complement the primary care services offering directionality of care for physiotherapy, emotional wellbeing and secondary care services to support your employees’ health and wellbeing.

At Work

Nuffield Health were one of the first providers to introduce Primary Care services into the workplace over 25 years ago.

On-site GP services offer convenience and ease of access to an experienced GP. On-site GP services will reduce the cost and impact of untreated common concerns your business remains productive and your workforce feels valued and cared for.

Our GPs provide quality clinical services and will gain a greater understanding of the culture and demands of the organisation impacting workplace health and will share these insights to drive workplace initiatives to focus on preventative strategies. Our experienced GPs can make onward referrals across our unique connected healthcare network. We are here to take care of your employees from prevention through to treatment and recovery.

Our services can be integrated into existing on-site facilities, alternatively, our experienced team are on hand to consult with you on requirements to set up an on-site clinic room/s.

Online GP Services

Our online GP service, powered by our partners Doctor Care Anywhere, is the smart, easy and convenient way to support your employees’ health.

The 20-minute appointments with a UK-qualified and GMC registered GP can be accessed on a desktop, tablet or mobile phone 24/7, 365 days a year.

Easy to set up for the whole of workforce, this app-based service covers the whole family giving your employees peace of mind for themselves and their dependents wherever, whenever.

Whether your employees need reassuring clinical advice, need to set up a repeat prescription or just track their health a little better, the online GP services will do all of that and more. Alongside our online GP services we can refer seamlessly into other services when required.

GP services at Nuffield Health clinics

Our fully-owned and operated Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centres and Hospitals provides access to one of the largest networks of GPs in the UK. Alongside GP services, your employees can take the next steps to manage their presenting conditions for both physiotherapy and emotional wellbeing quickly and effectively within our centres accessing our multidisciplinary teams.

What we treat

Listed below are common health concerns treated by our GPs both face to face and online.

  • Allergies
  • Colds and flu
  • Skin conditions: eczema, psoriasis, scalp irritation, fungal skin infections
  • Ear, nose and throat: tonsillitis, ear infections, sinusitis, conjunctivitis
  • Headaches: tension headaches, migraines
  • Chest: upper and lower chest infections, asthma
  • Musculoskeletal: Back/neck / shoulder pain and joint pain
  • Stomach and digestion: acid reflux and indigestion, constipation, irritable bowel, hernia
  • Men’s health concerns
  • Women’s health concerns

What we don’t treat

Nuffield Health and our partner Doctor Care Anywhere do not provide emergency medical care.

If you have a medical emergency or experience any of the symptoms outlined below call 111/999 or go directly to your nearest Accident & Emergency unit.

  • Difficulty in breathing or severe shortness of breath
  • Chest pain/suspected heart attack
  • Obstetric or pregnancy complications
  • Severe bleeding
  • Serious trauma to head, spine or limbs (e.g. broken bones or burns)
  • Severe mental health concerns (e.g. self harm, suicidal thoughts or psychosis)
  • Suspected stroke or seizure
  • Severe pain, especially if sudden onset
  • Severe infections
