Our IPL hair removal methods are proven, safe and straight forward. Here is what you can expect once you have decided to receive laser hair treatment at Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital:

  1. You will be booked into IPL clinic for consultation with a nurse.
  2. You complete a health questionnaire.
  3. You have a consultation with one of our experienced nurses, who explains the procedure and ensures patient is suitable for treatment. Consent forms are signed and a patch test is carried out.
  4. You return for the first treatment one week later (if there is no adverse reaction to the patch test; further details will be covered in your consultation).
  5. Treatments are carried out at four (face treatment) or six (body treatment) weekly intervals. Usually you will receive eight to ten treatments for face, and six to eight treatments for the body.
  6. Once treatments have been completed you will be offered maintenance treatments as and when required (usually every six to 12 months).
