Staff and regulation
All our Nuffy Bear Day Nurseries are regulated by Ofsted. Our staff are fully DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and our management team are all qualified to a minimum NVQ level 3.
All of our dedicated nursery staff are passionate, caring, enterprising and independent and embody the core values of our organisation. They create a safe, educational and enjoyable environment for your children and your peace of mind.
Funding
Standard 15 hours funding for 3 years is offered to all parents within the
Nuffy Bear Day Nurseries.
2 years funding (for eligible families) is also available at our
nurseries.

From September 2017 the Government will be supporting 30 hours of funded nursery education a week in England to three and four-year-old children whose parents work.
The Government has set a rate at which the additional hours provided will be paid, although the exact amount that nurseries receive may vary as this system is administered by local councils, which make a charge for the system.
We place a priority on the quality of care we provide to children in our care. In order to maintain our standards, staffing levels and continue to guarantee the standard 15 hours funding to all pre-school children, we will be transitioning our nurseries to accommodate a number of the new 30-hour government-funded sessions. We will continue to monitor changes to ensure we can offer the best services under this new scheme.
To be eligible for the scheme, families must have a child between the ages of three and four, and the parents – or parent in a single parent family – will need to earn at least the equivalent of 16 hours per week on the National Minimum or National Living Wage. To qualify for the additional hours, parents need to register with the government system to receive an eligibility code.

Funding sessions / new children starting will be subject to the nursery's current occupancy and days available.
Tax-free Scheme
Under the new scheme rolling out in September 2017, eligible families will get 20% of their annual childcare costs paid for by the Government. For every 80p you pay into a newly-created Childcare Account, the Government will contribute 20p.
The new scheme will be open to single parents/couples who work eight or more hours a week, including self-employed, and who pay for Ofsted-registered childcare for a child under the age of 12, or under 17 if the child is disabled. It will also be open to all qualifying parents, unlike childcare vouchers which can only be bought by people whose employer offers the scheme.
Childcare vouchers
If you are a working parent you may be eligible for childcare vouchers, which can mean savings of up to £2,392 per year in National Insurance and Tax. Childcare vouchers are issued through your employer and are usually part of an employee benefit scheme. They are non-taxable and exempt from National Insurance contributions.
Contact your employer to find out what entitlement you have in your contract. We accept vouchers from many providers including: Accor, Allsave, Care 4, Sodexo, TEDS, Faircare, Busy Bees, Leapfrog, CCSG and Kids Unlimited.
Safety within our nurseries
For your confidence and reassurance, every Nuffy Bear Day Nursery has well established safety procedures in place, which are strictly adhered to.
No child is allowed to leave the nursery unless they are collected by a nominated contact person with satisfactory ID. Visitors to the nursery must sign in and out and are accompanied at all times. Qualified first-aiders are always present in case of accidents.
