This inflammation can result in changes to the walls of your veins including thickening, bulging, weakening or narrowing (aneurysm).

Vasculitis can occur on its own (primary) or along with another medical condition (secondary). Because there are many different types of vasculitis, symptoms vary but may include:

  • Pain
  • Fever
  • Fatigue
  • Weight loss
  • Sweating

Some forms of vasculitis can be very serious. However with proper diagnosis and treatment many patients see good results. Your GP may refer you to a specialist consultant.
