This is a GP Educational Event with our Specialist Orthopaedic Knee Consultant, Mr Alex Dodds.
The event will be held with health professionals, via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 28th February at 19:00. Therefore, you can join at the office, in the surgery or from the comfort of your own home.
Mr Dodds has a specialist interest in arthroplasty and sports injuries of the knee. This includes arthroscopic surgery for cartilage lesions including microfracture, menisectomy and meniscal repair and ligament reconstruction.
He regularly performs arthroplasty (joint replacement surgery) including partial knee replacement, total knee replacement and revision knee replacement. He also performs a high volume of primary total hip replacements. He performs other non arthroplasty knee surgery including knee osteotomy and surgery for patellofemoral disorders. He has an interest in sports surgery including decompression for exertional compartment syndrome.
This event will allow you to learn more about the treatments you could give to your patient suffering with knee pain, see where their weight may be affecting their bodies and when to refer to a specialist.
