About
Dr Sharma is a Respiratory consultant specialising in all areas of adult Respiratory pathologies at Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Sharma has led the development of Sleep services, TB, Interstitial Lung Disease, and Pleural diseases. Dr Sharma’s subspeciality interests include Lung cancer, Airways disease and Respiratory infections.
As Respiratory clinical lead, Dr Sharma led the development of Respiratory services to Covid-19 pandemic. Dr Sharma has developed pleural services at ASPH with the commencement of Medical Thoracoscopy services allowing specialist cancer treatment locally. He also developed ILD services and regularly runs virtual ILD MDT with Royal Brompton Hospital to bring specialist travel near to patients’ home.
