Neuropathic Pain (Nerve Pain)
Neuropathic pain is pain caused by diseased or damaged nerves.
It is different from the pain caused by trauma (injury), burns or pressure as normally it cannot be eased using traditional pain relief such as paracetamol or anti-inflammatories.

Treatment of neuropathic pain can include drugs normally used to treat depression or anxiety. Your consultant may also refer you to a pain management specialist for help in learning to cope with chronic pain.
