Physiotherapy at our Wolverhampton Hospital - how can it help you?

Physiotherapy is a profession whose aim is to encourage and support the return to normal following illness, surgery, disease or trauma. It can be effective in the treatment of a range of muscle, joint and nerve conditions.

Physiotherapists at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital use a wide range of techniques such as manual therapy and exercise prescription to maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease.

We can offer expertise in upper limb and hand rehabilitation, pain management programmes and post-surgical recovery. Many of our therapists are also trained in pilates, acupuncture and joint manipulation, carrying out thorough biomechanical assessments to enhance and optimise function.

How can I help you improve your health?

I graduated from Keele University in 2019 and have worked for the NHS in the West Midlands. After completing my core rotations I realised that my passion lay in Trauma & Orthopaedics (T&O). I progressed quickly to manage a T&O department which enabled me to develop my skills and experience in rehabilitating a wide range of Orthopaedic patients. I thoroughly enjoy helping patients to achieve their short-term goals during their hospital stay. In addition to this, I look forward to seeing patients in an outpatient setting to continue their journey back to daily activities or a return to sport.

My other passion is playing football. I have played for a number of local football teams and have been involved in the coaching set-ups for district and county youth football teams. This has led to me diagnosing and treating a wide range of sports injuries including sports taping and manual therapy.

Harmeet Kaur

Senior Physiotherapist and Specialist Physiotherapist in Pelvic Health

How can I help you improve your health?

I am an experienced physiotherapist with a background in both NHS and private practice, specialising in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and women’s health rehabilitation. After graduating in 2010, I have gained extensive experience working across a variety of roles within musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy. I joined Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital in 2020.

I assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, including injuries sustained through sport, training, everyday activities or following surgery. My approach is personalised and evidence-based, incorporating manual therapy, tailored exercise prescription, Pilates-based rehabilitation and acupuncture to optimise recovery.

At Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital, my role spans both musculoskeletal outpatients and inpatient orthopaedic rehabilitation, enabling me to guide patients through every stage of their recovery journey.

I am passionate about delivering holistic, patient-centred care, empowering individuals to restore function, build resilience and return to the activities that matter most to them.

Alongside this, I specialise in women’s health and pelvic health physiotherapy, supporting women with pelvic floor muscle dysfunction including symptoms of urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse and rehabilitation following pelvic floor surgery or hysterectomy.

Outside of physiotherapy, I enjoy running (10Ks and half marathons), road cycling, attending gym classes and practising Pilates.

To book an appointment with Harmeet, please call 01902-793224 or 0345 045 4845 and ask to book a female pelvic health assessment.

How can I help you improve your health?

I became a chartered physiotherapist upon graduation from Coventry University in 2007. During my career, I have worked in a variety of settings including several NHS hospitals around the West Midlands. My specialisms to date include Musculoskeletal, Rehab, Specialist Surgery, Vascular & Amputees, Respiratory & Critical Care, Orthopaedics and Mental Health. My roles have encompassed clinical leadership for many years, allowing me to develop fellow clinicians, myself and most importantly patients, their care & their services. I have also worked extensively with student physiotherapists in a developmental and teaching context. I particularly enjoy working each year at the finish line of the London Marathon as part of the official medical team offering MSK and Emergency Medical care.

My work has culminated here at Nuffield in spanning Musculoskeletal Outpatients and Orthopaedics and Surgical Inpatients. This provides a perfect blend for me in the utilisation of my skillset and interests. I take great pride in my work and offer a person-centred approach. I firmly believe a good understanding of my patients presenting problems coupled with solid assessment is key to our success. My passion is evidence-based treatment and keeping up to date with new research and techniques.

Away from physiotherapy, I enjoy running, bowling (crown green) and being mum to two very lively little boys.
