Dr Alexandroff began his research career with a PhD at Edinburgh University in the field of cancer immunology and has since published over 40 peer-reviewed research papers and reviews. He continues to believe that research is very important as it widens clinicians’ horizons and contributes to improving patient care.

Clinically trained in the United Kingdom, he has worked at major NHS teaching and private hospitals in Cambridge, Newcastle, Nottingham, Leicester and London. To keep up to date he takes active part in the departmental, national and international educational meetings and regularly reads specialist dermatological literature.

He also believe that everybody is unique and always seek to personalise the care of all his patients.

Clinical specialisation

  • Inflammatory skin diseases including psoriasis, dermatitis, acne, skin cancers including basal cell cancer (BCC), squamous cell cancer (SCC) and malignant melanoma
  • Diagnosis and management of various types of hair loss (e.g. alopecia)
  • Lead clinician for Phototherapy, which is commonly used to treat psoriasis, dermatitis, vitiligo, as well as other diseases
  • Additionally, leading the regional NHS alopecia service (including Diphencyprone immunotherapy for Alopecia Areata condition).
