Dr Dugdale trained at Emmanuel College, Cambridge and the Royal London Hospital in and is a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine. She specialises in diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of acute and overuse injuries. She performs diagnostic ultrasound, ultrasound guided steroid, Hyaluronic Acid and PRP joint and soft tissue injections. She also treats long term tendinopathies with shock wave therapy (ESWT). Over the past year she has been involved in the rehabilitation of high-level athletes post COVID-19.

She works for the military and also has many years’ experience in elite level sport. She is one of the lead doctors for British Rowing, the Chief Medical Officer for the Oman Desert Ultra Marathon and has previously worked for several years in rugby, both for the RFU and Championship teams.

She has a strong academic background, having been an Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham, and is currently an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary, London and an External Examiner at the University of Leeds (Sport and Exercise Medicine) and the University of Salford (Trauma and Orthopaedics).She has also completed a post graduate law degree and have extensive experience in Medical Law and Ethics, having been the Chair of the Research Ethics Committee at the University of Nottingham and a Board Member at QMUL. She was also a board member of the Sports Advisory Board at the University of Nottingham.
