How can I help you improve your health?

My name is Ethan Lock and I am one of the personal trainers here at Nuffield Health Aylesbury Fitness and Wellbeing Gym. I got into the fitness industry in a very bizarre way! Before I decided to study for my personal training qualification I was a zoo keeper. I know, crazy right! During my time as a zookeeper, I found myself very unhappy in my own body as I was quite overweight. I researched everything I could about fitness and I decided to join the gym and I had one goal in mind which was to lose 2 stone in a year. Long story short, I lost a total of 4 stone that year all on my own! From that day forward I decided I wanted to get into the fitness industry and help others through their struggles as I knew how it felt to be in their position. Since then I have acquired my personal training qualification and joined the Nuffield Health team and have never looked back!

How can I help you improve your health?

I would like to first invite you back in time to when I started my Fitness Journey over 6 years ago. I was a small, skinny teen who was very much underweight. I lacked confidence and didn’t have a positive body image. After deciding to make a change I first set out on educating myself on the basic fundamentals of training and nutrition. After the first 6 months I quickly fell in love with not just the progress I was making but the shear confidence I was able to develop from going to the gym. Fast forward 6 years and I’ve developed a new passion to help people not only build a better body image but to help people build their own confidence.

I know exactly how it feels to be new to the gym or to lack confidence in a gym environment, I feel it’s essential to have the right education, guidance and to have someone that can relate to you and help you reach your goals.
