Your initial 45-minute appointment involves an assessment and treatment. We assess your pain and symptoms to determine the cause of these symptoms, then recommend a treatment plan for you and begin this treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time.

How can I help you improve your health?

Laura graduated in 1990 with a BSC in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret Edinburgh. She came up through the NHS acting up as head of orthopaedics, burns and plastics and ITU at stoke Mandeville Hospital.

For the past 15 years Laura has been working with outpatient musculoskeletal and sports injury in private practice before joining Nuffield Health.

Laura has work experience with skiing injuries in Val’d’Isere and was a volunteer physiotherapist at the Paralympics in 2012 and the Commonwealth Games 2014.

She likes to utilise the power of acupuncture in her physio practice and is registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine.

How can I help you improve your health?

Mehmet graduated with a Bsc (hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Hertfordshire in 2007 and went onto complete a  (Pre-Reg) Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Essex soon after.

Since then Mehmet has worked as the first team physiotherapist for AFC Sudbury, Barking RFC, Tabard RFC (Women’s and Youth teams), and worked closely with the  elite level youth rugby and football players as the physiotherapist at the West Suffolk Sports Academy and for Essex U16 RFC. He has subsequently worked in private practice for the last seven years.

With a strong interest in sports rehabilitation and weight training, Mehmet has also developed a clinical interest in Hip and Groin injuries. He is currently studying for his masters in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire.

Mehmet has strong belief in using evidence based practice to direct his treatment approaches and feels that empowering patients with the tools to prevent injuries from reoccurring is imperative.
