Mr Sam Jain

Mr Jain is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in hip and knee replacement surgery. His practice is based at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital where he treats a variety of hip and knee conditions. He has a keen interest in enhanced rehabilitation and has recently introduced a successful day surgery pathway for patients having hip and knee replacement surgery. He also has significant experience in treating patients with problematic hip replacements and offers a full range of reconstructive options for revision hip replacement surgery. 

He graduated from medical school at the University of Leeds in 2005 and then trained in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery throughout Yorkshire. He completed his subspecialty training in 2017 and then undertook fellowship training in Leeds, Northumbria and at the internationally renowned Wrightington Hospital. In addition to his clinical practice, he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds and a surgical trainer.

Mr Jain has an accomplished research portfolio with over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and orthopaedic textbooks. He has a particular academic interest in the prevention and management of complications of joint replacement surgery and has recently submitted his PhD thesis on periprosthetic fractures following hip replacement surgery. He is also an active member of the British Hip Society and was a founding member of its award-winning Culture & Diversity committee.
