About
Dr Jain obtained her primary medical qualification and post-graduation degree in Dermatology in India. After coming to the UK she completed her core medical training and later completed a structured training programme in Dermatology in the Northeast region. Dr Jain initially worked as a Consultant from October 2016 at the Durham and Darlington hospital NHS trust before moving to the Shrewsbury and Telford NHS trust in October 2019.
Dr Jain has been managing all dermatology conditions ranging from general dermatology to skin cancers. Her special interest is in inflammatory and complex skin conditions and she is also the lead for systemics and biologics treatment at the Shrewsbury and Telford hospital NHS trust. Dr Jain also performs procedures including skin biopsies, excisions, and other skin related surgeries. She is interested in research and has been involved in a research project looking at the long-term effect of phototherapy treatment in adult atopic eczema.
Dr Jain is passionate about teaching and training and takes every opportunity to teach and train junior medical staff, General Practitioners and nurses.
During her time off Dr Jain likes to spend with her family, enjoys cooking, Bollywood dancing and has developed a recent interest in poetry.
