About
Dr Jong graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1997. He undertook postgraduate training in the UK and completed specialist dermatology training in 2008. Dr Jong has been a Consultant Dermatologist for 15 years, two of which were spent in Newcastle, Australia.
Dr Jong has a special interest in treating skin cancers but he also treats all types of rashes and dermatology conditions. He was the Clinical and Skin Cancer Lead for West Kent Dermatology Service from 2016 to 2023.
Apart from clinical duties, Dr Jong is also a clinical supervisor for medical students, specialist nurses, nurse prescribers and GPs with special interest in dermatology. Dr Jong has published papers on the impact of photosensitive skin conditions on quality of life and on contact allergies. He was the lead author for the Infections and Infestations chapter of Dermatology Training textbook for registrars.
In his spare time, Dr Jong enjoys spending time with his family and gardening.
