Dr Jayaraman is an experienced Consultant Respiratory Physician specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of respiratory and chest conditions. She manages both common and complex disorders affecting the lungs and airways, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, chronic or persistent cough, and sleep-related breathing disorders such as sleep apnoea.

Respiratory symptoms can have a significant impact on breathing, energy levels, and overall quality of life. Dr Jayaraman provides comprehensive respiratory assessments, using advanced diagnostic techniques to accurately identify underlying causes and develop individualised, evidence-based treatment plans.

She has a particular clinical interest in bronchoscopy, a specialised diagnostic and therapeutic procedure used to examine the airways and lungs. In addition, she maintains a strong interest in General Medicine, allowing her to take a holistic approach to patient care, particularly where respiratory conditions are linked to wider health concerns.

Dr Jayaraman is also the Lead Consultant for the Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) service at her NHS hospital, where she has played a key role in developing and delivering expert care for patients with complex lung conditions such as pulmonary fibrosis and other diffuse parenchymal lung diseases.
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Jayaraman is actively involved in medical research and education, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international medical conferences and learned societies. This ensures her practice remains aligned with the latest advancements in respiratory medicine.
Through a combination of clinical expertise, advanced procedural skills, and a patient-centred approach, Dr Jayaraman is committed to delivering high-quality respiratory care that improves both health outcomes and quality of life.
