During the pandemic, we began offering free mental health treatments to our people to help them mitigate the COVID-19 impact and support their emotional wellbeing.

Approximately 546 people received treatment from the programme, which began in June 2020.

The employee programme combined a number of treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, counselling, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing.

Employees enrolled themselves in the programme, followed by a one hour call with a therapist to diagnose any underlying condition and ensure it is appropriate for them. Following completion of a questionnaire, their treatment sessions would take place once a week for one hour, over the phone or video call.

The programme has improved mental health outcomes significantly. At the start of the programme, 61% of individuals had depression and anxiety but by the end, 49% no longer had either condition.
