About
Mr Ghosh is an expert in knee surgery having completed a number of higher specialist surgical fellowships in the field. Mr Ghosh specialises in the treatment of all knee conditions from childhood to adulthood including the management of knee arthritis (eg knee replacements, partial knee replacements, knee osteotomy-realignment), knee sports injuries (eg knee ligament surgery including ACL Reconstruction), keyhole knee surgery (arthroscopic surgery) and knee revision surgery.Mr Ghosh is proud to specialise in the latest modern techniques in treating knee conditions to provide my patients with the best possible results and outcome. Although he performs conventional total knee replacements, he is also an expert in partial knee replacement surgery. Mr Ghosh is one of the surgeons performing the highest number of such procedures in the area.
Mr Ghosh has a specialist interest in sports injuries and ligament injuries and is involved in the treatment of professional sports teams and athletes. Mr Ghosh also delivers a specialist children’s service at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust
Mr Ghosh is a Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon and Trauma Surgeon with a busy private practice as well as his NHS practice at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and the Leicester General Hospital.
After graduating from the University of Cambridge and Imperial College School of Medicine, London Mr Ghosh completed basic surgical training in London followed by higher surgical training in Leicester. Mr Ghosh has undertaken esteemed Fellowships in Knee surgery at The Royal Derby Hospital and also in Hip and Knee Surgery as the prestigious Stanmore Fellow (Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital London Fellowship). He has also been awarded further degrees of MA (Cantab), MSc (Orth Eng) and PGDipClinEd. Age range 10+

Mr Ghosh has a number of publications in Orthopaedic Surgery and has presented Internationally in Hip & Knee Surgery.
He was awarded a MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering after research into cement fixation in hip replacement surgery.
He is also heavily involved in medical education and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education.
