How can I help you improve your health?

I chose to become a Wellbeing Personal Trainer here at Nuffield Health because of my focus upon high-level training whilst encouraging healthy, sustainable training and lifestyle choices and my belief that this is not emphasised enough within Gym culture. I specialise in aesthetic movement, posture, body sculpting, weight gain, weight loss, agility, functional movement and mobility as well as performance biased strength and conditioning and injury rehabilitation.  I have been a qualified personal trainer and sports rehabilitation massage therapist since 2004.

I am married with two kids, and I am a former professional contemporary/ballet dancer and senior university lecturer… In fact, I was a Founding Lecturer on the dance undergraduate degree at Kingston University and taught there, full-time, for more than a decade. Being in my mid-40’s now, I am increasingly aware of all the physical changes that time brings with it, and how to adapt physical training and lifestyles accordingly. 

I also have a background in martial arts and have trained under Master Huang Ping in Modern Wushu and Taijiquan (Tai Chi). I was a Taijiquan Jian (straight sword) gold medallist at SENI in 2008.

How can I help you improve your health?

I have been involved in the Fitness Industry for the past 13 years. After several years of being sat at a desk for work I noticed that my body was beginning to tighten up and as a result I experienced pain and reduced mobility.

I was forced to find a solution, which led me to the functional training and rehab I focus on today. I focus on the fundamentals of movement that we as humans naturally exhibit. I use a number of techniques to create muscle balance in the body, all of which reduce pain and create more efficient movement.

I aim to educate my clients on all aspects of health, fitness, nutrition and overall wellbeing. The goal is for my clients to have the tools to live a healthy and happy life.

I help my clients to tackle not only the physical aspect of fitness but also the mental side too. I make sure that fitness is fun and gets the job done!  My goal at Nuffield is to make sure you feel better, look better and BE better!

How can I help you improve your health?

I have 13 years of experience and started out in the Army as a PTI designing fitness and strength programmes for over 100 soldiers. I spent 7 and a half years In the Army which took me all over the world including Tours of Iraq and Afghanistan.

I joined Nuffield Health in 2012 as a Fitness and Wellbeing Advisor. From here I’ve worked at multiple different Corporate Gyms across the business such as Vodafone and BAT. I have a real passion to improve the human mind, body and life of a client to make their goals become a reality.

My training style is high intensity and strength training. I believe hard work pays off! That said, I am highly versatile and easily adaptable to your needs.

I look forward to meeting you all in the gym and hopefully to training you soon.

How can I help you improve your health?

Sam prides himself on taking clients goals and aims and making them his own. He supports all clients every step of the way not only with the personal training sessions but with nutritional guides, supplement advice and regular contact both in person and via texting, emailing and social media. Every client Sam takes on will have a goal and a time frame, he expects to give that client the results they are looking for in the most enjoyable, fun and professional way possible. The areas Sam specialises in most would be Total body transformations, Muscle sculpting / Weight loss / Body conditioning, Nutritional advice and guidance and Rehabilitation of general and sports injuries.

How can I help you improve your health?

I want to help you be the best you can be. My main passion in life is teaching and no matter what I've done through the years I always seem to end up teaching it to people.

For myself, I'm a martial artist and I have been training, competing and teaching Brazilian jiujitsu for the past 7 years. Most of my own training revolves around being the best athlete I can be in a very dynamic contact sport. I have always cross trained and been interested in all aspects of fitness and this is where I can help you. Remember, I want to help you to be the best you can be!
