About
I aim to provide clear, expert care that is focused on your needs. I will help you understand your condition and choose the right treatment for you.
My experience and training
I completed my ENT training in the North West of England. Before my current role, I worked at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
After my core training, I completed further specialist training in voice disorders at the Voice Study Centre. This developed my skills in treating conditions of the voice box (larynx) and vocal cords.
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I am also listed on the GMC Specialist Register for ENT (Otolaryngology).
Clinical practice and expertise
- Thyroid and parathyroid surgery
- Voice problems, including hoarseness and voice change
- Swallowing difficulties
- Laryngeal disorders
- General adult and paediatric ENT conditions
I also treat:
- Obstructive sleep apnoea (breathing problems during sleep)
- Recurrent tonsillitis (repeated throat infections)
- Glue ear (fluid build-up behind the eardrum)
- Vocal cord polyps (Soft lumps on the vocal cords)
I regularly attend regional Head & Neck and Thyroid Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to ensure my patients receive the highest standard of collaborative, evidence‑based care.
My commitment to excellence is demonstrated through:
- Ongoing clinical audit aligned with national guidelines
- Numerous peer‑reviewed research publications
- National and international scientific presentations
How I care for you
I take time to listen to your symptoms and concerns. I will explain your diagnosis in simple terms and talk through all your treatment options.
I work closely with other specialists through multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. These include head and neck and thyroid cancer teams.
This ensures your care is based on shared expertise and the latest research.
My aim is to provide safe, effective treatment that is tailored to you.
Medicine and law
Before studying medicine, I completed a law degree. This gives me a strong understanding of patient safety, medical law, and ethical decision-making.
I also work as an expert witness. This helps me stay up to date with current standards and best practice.
Training and teaching
I am committed to training the next generation of doctors. I teach and support junior doctors and surgical trainees. I aim to share my experience and maintain high standards in ENT care.
