About

Mr Clint is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Nuffield Health Cheltenham and has been working as a Consultant Surgeon at Cheltenham General Hospital since April 2010. His main area of interest is foot and ankle disorders, limb reconstruction and deformity correction.

Mr Clint qualified from University College, London in 1998. After basic surgical training, he began specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2003 in London, based at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. After completing his general training in Orthopaedics, he undertook almost 2 years of specialist fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery, trauma and limb reconstruction. Mr Clint has completed Fellowships at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London, the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh and the Illizarov Institute in Kurgan, Russia.

After qualifying as a consultant in 2009, both he and his wife were keen to escape London. After a short period as a locum Orthopaedic Consultant in Buckinghamshire, he jumped at the opportunity to move to Cheltenham in 2010. Mr Clint and his wife are now very happily settled into their new life and look forward to hopefully raising a family in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.

Mr Clint has an active interest in all aspects of foot and ankle disorders and believes strongly in the importance of understanding the effect a foot problem has on the whole limb and the patient in general. He also recognises that surgery is not always the answer to many complaints and works closely with his colleagues in physiotherapy and orthotics to provide a complete package of care.

Mr Clint also has an expertise in all aspects of trauma care. This extends from the initial treatment of a fracture to dealing with the long-term problems sometimes encountered after severe injuries. To this end, he employs the techniques of limb lengthening and deformity correction to try and improve the long-term function of an injured limb.
