About
Mr Nicholl completed his medical training at Cambridge University and Guy's Hospital, with Orthopaedic training in Guy's and St Thomas Hospital and did fellowships in shoulder and hand surgery before being appointed as an Orthopaedic Consultant at the Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells in 1998.
The most common conditions Mr Nicholl sees and is able to treat are Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Trigger Finger, Dupuytren's Contracture, hand and wrist fractures and hand Arthritis. Mr Nicholl is able to treat conditions of the joints using keyhole surgery and performs arthroscopic surgery on the wrist and elbow. Keyhole surgery minimises scarring and often allows a more rapid post-operative recovery. He has recently been undertaking joint replacement for thumb based arthritis.
Mr Nicholl works closely with excellent physiotherapists and the specialist hand therapy department within the hospital.
Mr Nicholl is able to see patients 1 to 2 weeks after referral and if surgery is required can offer a date within the month.
Personal interests
Mr Nicholl is married with 3 children. When not working Mr Nicholl enjoys golf and sailing.
