About
Dr Cole completed his specialist training and qualification in July 2000. Between 2009-2013 he was the clinical lead of the Oxford Pain Relief Unit.
He has extensive experience in the management of most chronic pain conditions including
- low back pain
- sciatica
- post surgical or trauma pain
- post herpetic neuralgia
- diabetic neuropathy
- CRPS.
He works within a multidisciplinary pain team referring to specialist pain physiotherapist and/or pain psychologist colleagues as appropriate.

Dr Cole's MSc dissertation was based on research into efficacy and respiratory effects of systemic and spinal opioids
He is a member of Cochrane Pain and Palliative Support Group publishing systemic reviews on antineuropathic (antidepressant and antiepileptic) drugs for pain conditions.
