Supporting the NHS

As the UK's largest healthcare charity, supporting the NHS during the COVID-19 pandemic fulfils our purpose of building a healthier nation.

Since March 2020, our people, hospitals, nurseries and connected health services have been supporting NHS patients and local communities across England, Scotland and Wales.

Over 270,000 NHS patients have been treated by our 31 hospitals across England, Wales and Scotland during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have also provided hospital team members, facilities and equipment to local NHS trusts to support NHS patients, including those with COVID-19, cancer and needing urgent surgery.

As a thank you to all NHS staff for their immeasurable contribution each and every year and especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re proud to offer NHS employees a 30% discount to support our purpose to build a healthier nation. Visit here for more information.

Detailed below are the stories of how our people, hospitals and connected health services have made an important difference during the COVID-19 pandemic.
