Dr Jaisun Vivekanandaraja

Dr Jaisun Vivekanandaraja is an experienced General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred private GP care for adults and children at The Holly Private Hospital.

He works as an NHS Locum GP, covering regular surgeries, on-call work and minor surgery clinics, alongside his private practice at The Holly.

Dr Vivekanandaraja has broad experience across general practice, urgent and out-of-hours medicine, minor surgery, complex diabetes management, learning disability care and emergency medicine. Earlier in his career, he also worked in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, emergency departments and as a cruise ship physician.

He holds additional qualifications in child health and women’s health and has a particular interest in minor surgery. His extensive urgent-care experience enables him to assess a wide range of new and ongoing medical concerns while recognising when further investigation or specialist referral may be required.

Education and experience

He graduated from the University of Bristol in 2004 and qualified as a GP in 2009. He subsequently spent almost 15 years at a busy NHS practice in Greenwich, including more than 11 years as a GP partner.

Leadership

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Vivekanandaraja is an experienced NHS GP appraiser and mentor, supporting the professional development and clinical standards of fellow GPs.
