Visiting hours

Your visitors are welcome from 10.00am, however, we encourage all patients to rest between 12.30pm – 2.30pm and would therefore suggest that visits are planned around this quiet time. Your recovery is of paramount importance and you may find that you are very tired following surgery. With this is mind, we ask that all visitors leave by 8:00pm.

Security

All visitors to the ward may be asked to sign in and out of our visitor’s book at reception and they may be asked to sign in/out whilst they are on hospital premises. External CCTV is in operation at the hospital as an additional precaution. If you are aware of or suspect any threat to the Hospital, please speak to reception as soon as possible.

Car parking

Free car parking is available at the hospital but this can be limited during peak times.

Taxis

Should you or your visitors require taxi services, the reception team will be happy to arrange this for you.

Visitor meals
Your visitors are welcome to dine with you and can choose from our daily menu. Orders will be taken by the ward serving team and we would appreciate orders for lunch by 11am and dinner by 4pm. Please note that visitor’s meals are chargeable and these will be added to your room account unless you advise otherwise.

Local Accommodation
Should your relatives or friends wish to stay locally, there are a number of hotels and bed and breakfasts which we can recommend to accommodate your visitors overnight. A special rate has been agreed with the nearby four star Marygreen Manor Hotel for overnight stays, including their garden rooms. Should you need a longer term stay, please discuss rates directly with the Hotel. Please ask if any guidance is needed.
