About
Professor Khan qualified from Cambridge University and undertook his basic surgical training in Oxford before embarking on post-graduate research in London. After completing his urological training in both London and the USA Professor Khan was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at University Hospitals of Leicester in 2006.
As well as performing general urological surgery he specialises in laser stone and benign prostate surgery along with prostate cancer diagnosis. Professor Khan has performed over 1000 laser stone surgery, over 1400 laser prostate surgery and over 3000 transperineal prostate biopsies for the diagnosis of prostate cancer. Professor Khan has an academic interest in prostate cancer for which he was awarded a PhD from Nottingham Trent University in 2023.
