The Foot and Ankle Clinic at MIHP

This specialist clinic looks at pathology concerns in the foot, ankle and lower limbs. Stuart Campbell is a consulting practitioner in elite sport and throughout his 10-year career has worked with leading athletes and organisations globally. Drawing on this time as a professional athlete with Team GB, and his roles as sports therapist and Podiatrist, Stuart provides a truly holistic approach to treating his patients.

Following an initial assessment, measures such as gait analysis are introduced to provide a comprehensive report to enable diagnosis and aid recovery.

Gait analysis takes an in-depth look at the way an individual walks. Stuart uses a 2D infrared assessment with slow motion video capture, combined with in-shoe analysis to assess running.

Rehabilitation gait analysis is recommended for patients awaiting lower limb surgery. This consists of pre- and post-operative assessments to provide an individual “gait retraining” programme. This ensures the patient recovers from surgery in the best possible way in conjunction with their physiotherapy.
