Our Joint Pain Programme is a free 12-week programme designed to help you to self-manage your chronic joint pain. Delivered at The Manchester Institute of Health and Performance and The Settlement Centre, Openshaw.

It's delivered with the expert guidance of a Rehabilitation Specialist, using a combination of education and physical activity, as well as lifestyle support. There are two exercise sessions per week and a health check at weeks 0 and 12 to track your progress.

The programme will equip you with the knowledge and practical experiences to better manage your pain long-term and achieve your goals.

Is it just an exercise class?

No, every session starts with a 15-to-20-minute group education and group discussion session. A lot of participants have commented that they have benefitted from talking to someone else who understands joint pain.

Who can join the programme?

This is one of our free rehabilitation programmes, it is open to anyone over the age of 18 who has suffering from joint pain for over a year.

After you've completed the application form, you'll receive an email with a personalised link to a pre-assessment questionnaire. You'll need to complete this in order to progress to the next stage of the application, as it provides vital information to allow the Rehabilitation Specialists to determine if the programme is right for you.
