About

Mr Thomas Jenyon is a consultant eye surgeon and specialises in micro-incision cataract surgery, as well as corneal and external eye disease. His cataract expertise includes complex cases, patients with previous laser refractive surgery, astigmatism and the use of premium lenses to reduce spectacle dependence. Mr Jenyon trained at University College London where he qualified with distinction and within the West Midlands. He gained membership to the Royal College of Physicians and is a Fellow at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. His work in Ophthalmology has been recognised by national and international prizes.

For Mr Jenyon’s contribution to medical education in the West Midlands, he has received the Recognising Excellence in Medical Education award twice and continues to teach cataract and corneal surgery to the next generation of corneal surgeons at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

Mr Jenyon takes time to listen to patients' needs and helps guide them through the different choices available to them, whether it be cataract, lens or laser surgery.
