About
Dr Beale qualified from Bristol and spent her first few years in the southwest before travelling to, and working briefly in Australia. She then spent seven years in hospitals in Wales as part of a rotation before coming back to gain her substantive NHS consultant job at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. There she mainly treats patients with inflammatory bowel disease and also those with irritable bowel syndrome. She is the endoscopy training lead for the unit.

Personal interests
Dr Beale's main passion is sailing, including completion of a world circumnavigation in a 12 metre yacht with her husband some years ago.
