Vanessa Jane Davies is a Skin Camouflage Consultant accredited from the University of Hertfordshire. She has over 25 years’ skin camouflage experience, and established Skin Camouflage Services in 2007 at 10 Harley Street London.
Vanessa has a specialist interest in developing new skin camouflage techniques: second skin technology, silicone-based pigments, and topical silicone dermal filers within her clinical practices. She has trained Medical Officers and Combat Medical Technicians in skin camouflage, and continues to provide medical skin camouflage assessments to the military.
Under the OMIS UKTI Service, Vanessa was selected by the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) for her skin camouflage work at two Burns Units in Perth Australia.
In 2007, Vanessa was accepted as a medico-legal expert witness to the court in her field of Skin Camouflage for complex, serious injury and clinical negligence claims for pigmentation, scarring, self-harm injuries: cutting, burning, bruising and burns: chemical, fire, hot liquids and electricity and children’s accidents: specifically, iron infusions and dog bites.
Following a 10-year career as a HE Lecturer and
Examiner in skin camouflage, Vanessa remains a keynote speaker on Medical Skin
Camouflage in the UK and overseas, and since 2016, she has actively contributed
on the panel of experts for Talk Health online clinics - skin conditions.
