About

Mr Dattani is a Consultant Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon at the Glenfield Hospital in Leicester with a private practice at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital.

Mr Dattani trained in some of the busiest units in the UK before being appointed as a Consultant in 2021. He specialises in keyhole (endovenous) treatments for varicose veins and venous leg ulcers as well as minimally invasive (endovascular) surgery for blocked arteries (peripheral arterial disease) and enlarged arteries (aneurysms).

Mr Dattani is regularly involved in training the next generation of vascular surgeons. He is the Undergraduate & Postgraduate Education Lead for Vascular Surgery in Leicester and teaches widely on nationally accredited courses for surgeons. He is actively engaged in clinical research as a local principal investigator for numerous multicentre randomised controlled trials and is well published in the field of vascular surgery. He has received numerous prizes for his research including the prestigious British Journal of Surgery Prize from the Vascular Society of Great Britain & Ireland as well as the Lauder Prize from the University of Leicester. He serves as a council member for the British Society of Endovascular Therapy (BSET) and as an executive committee member for the Vascular & Endovascular Research Network (VERN), which he co-founded in 2013.
