About
Jamie Barnes is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon. His NHS practice is based in the Merseyside Regional Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital where he specialises in microsurgical breast reconstruction. He also practices in the NHS at The Royal Liverpool Hospital where he provides complex, revisional and reconstructive breast surgery through the Linda McCartney Breast Unit. He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BAPRAS).
Mr Barnes trained in Plastic Surgery in the North West of England and completed subspecialty fellowship training in microsurgical reconstruction of the breast and head and neck at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals, London and a further fellowship in Facial, Breast and Body Aesthetic Surgery at the Wellington Hospital, London.
Mr Barnes has a particular interest in the most up to date plastic surgery techniques including drain-free abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and auto-augmentation mastopexy techniques using natural breast tissue to augment the shape of the breast without the use of implants.
