About
Mr George Filobbos is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, and the Clinical Lead for the Plastic Surgery Department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
George undertook his plastic surgery training in the UK, and during his training, he was awarded the prestigious National TIG (Training Interface Group) Fellowship specialising in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. This fellowship is approved for training by the GMC. He has also successfully completed fellowships in Extremity Reconstruction and Skin Oncology.
He gained a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) in 2016 and he is on the GMC specialist register for plastic surgery.
George has published extensively on plastic surgery with over 30 research articles, and he has presented his work at multiple international academic conferences. He holds Master’s degrees in surgery and wound healing, and he is the senior author of a plastic surgery textbook.
George provides expert care in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, from breast procedures, body contouring to facial cosmetic surgery and skin cancers. He takes pride in his rapport with patients, always listening to patients’ priorities and working with them to achieve their goals.
