About
Mr Cash was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at York District Hospital in 2014. Since then he has specialised in both primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery as well as knee arthroscopy.
Mr Cash completed his registrar training on the Cambridge rotation in 2013 and went on to spend a year on fellowship at the prestigious centre for hip surgery at Wrightington Hospital.
Whilst striving to keep abreast of modern practices, Mr Cash uses tried and tested implants with a proven track record in all his hip and knee replacements with a view to achieving optimum function and a joint replacement that lasts.
Over the past three years, across the hospitals he works at, Mr Cash has discharged around 50% of his patients home either the day following joint replacement surgery or even on the day of surgery itself. He would be delighted to discuss the options for early discharge in the outpatient clinic.

Mr Cash’s two main interests are outdoors walking and ticking items off a list. He’s therefore completed a round of all 282 Munros (Scottish Hills above 3000ft) and all 214 Lake District Wainwrights. When not walking he spends most of his time with his wife and three young children
