Endocrinology is a branch of general medicine concerned with the collection of glands in the body that secrete hormones directly into the blood. The endocrine system includes the pituitary, thyroid, pancreas, ovaries, testes, and adrenal glands.

Hormones are produced by the endocrine glands and any irregularities in production can result in a number of conditions including Diabetes, an over or under active Thyroid, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Rheumatic disorders and Osteoporosis.

Our consultant endocrinologists offer rapid diagnosis and ongoing care for a variety of hormone-related problems including adrenal gland problems, diabetes, and excessive hair growth in women, obesity and pituitary gland disorders.

You will usually need to be referred to see a hospital consultant by a GP or other healthcare professional. Speak to your GP and ask them to refer you.
