Welcome to Nuffield Health, The Manor Hospital, Oxford located in Headington, to the east of Oxford City Centre. Our hospital is Nuffield Health’s largest hospital treating patients from the UK and overseas.
The Manor has gained an international reputation for excellence offering patients a premium service in neurosurgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, and cancer care, supported by a specialist paediatric ward, 7 bedded intensive care unit, and 6 bedded PACU ensuring patients receive the best possible care. Dedicated to delivering safe and compassionate care every day.
Our expert consultants and dedicated matron-led support staff take great pride in providing the finest medical care for all our patients in a clean and comfortable hospital setting. We have a limited underground car-park for patient use plus a balcony café where friends and family visiting patients can relax whilst having a refreshment.

How do I get an appointment to see a consultant?You'll need to see your GP or one of our private GPs who can refer you to a consultant. For cosmetic surgery, a GP referral isn't essential but is recommended.

How long would it take me to get an appointment?We aim to offer appointments within a few days, at a time convenient for you. Our scheduling is designed to be flexible and accommodating.

Can I see a consultant for an appointment after work or at the weekend?Our Outpatient Department is open at the following times:
- Monday–Thursday: 08:00–20:00
- Friday: 08:00–18:00
- Saturday: 08:00–16:00

Can I choose which consultant I wish to see?Yes. As a private self-funding patient, you may choose your consultant. You can find a list of all our consultants here. If you're using private health insurance, please check with your provider first to make sure this is authorised.

Do you offer treatment for children?Yes, we have a dedicated children and young people service and ward

Would my surgery be conducted by a junior doctor?No, our hospital only works with consultants and therefore you can be assured of the highest level of clinical care. Your appointments, surgery and follow ups will be conducted by your consultant.

What are your hospital infection rates?We adhere to the national cleaning award standards. The Manor Hospital is vigorous in its cleaning standards and keeping our hospitals clean and free of MRSA and C.difficule is a top priority. As a result, the risk of infection to patients is very low.

When can my family visit if I’m an inpatient?Our recommended visiting hours are between 08:00 and 20:00.

Is there parking available?Yes, we offer limited free parking. Please arrive 20–30 minutes early to allow time to find a space.
Our car park is managed by Euro Carparks and you must register your vehicle on one of the reception consoles to avoid a penalty notice.
Alternatively, Headington Pay & Display Car Park is a 10-minutes walk away. You can find out more on the Oxford City Council website. -
How do I get to the hospital by car?Our full address is Nuffield Health Oxford, The Manor Hospital, Beech Road, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7RP.
- At Headington Roundabout take the exit onto A420 (London Road) marked City Centre/Headington Hospitals
- Continue straight through and past the Headington shops
- Turn right on to Sandfield Road, then first right on to Beech Road
- The Manor Hospital is at the end of this road.

How do I get to the hospital by bus?For advice on bus services please contact The Oxford Bus Company or Stagecoach in Oxfordshire.

Is there accommodation nearby where my family can stay?Yes, there are several hotels within 20–30-minutes’ drive and guest houses within a five-minute walk. For local accommodation options, please go to theOxford City Council website.

Are there visitor meals?Your visitors are welcome to dine with you and can choose from our daily menu. Orders for dinner should be provided to the ward serving staff by 4pm.
Please note that visitors’ meals are chargeable, and these will be added to your room account unless you advise otherwise. -
I am disabled/require assistance during my visit, who do I need to tell?Please inform our staff in advance so we can make suitable arrangements. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member with you.

I am a wheelchair user. How can I access the hospital?There is a drop off point at the main entrance on the ground floor and wheelchairs can be found just inside reception.
We have dedicated parking spaces in the car park with a lift for access to main reception on the ground floor. -
Are there services for patients and visitors with visual impairment?
- Braille signage has been installed in the passenger lift and on the disabled lavatory door at reception
- Most of the hospital areas include features recommended by the Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB)
- A large button press telephone is available
- Staff will be happy to talk through brochures with you

Are there services for patients and visitors with hearing impairment?Hearing induction loop systems are provided at reception for the assistance of patients and visitors with hearing impairments.

Are there services for patients who require assistance with interpreting?We can provide both telephone and face to face interpreting service. Please let us know if you require assistance with this.

Is there another Nuffield Health Hospital in Oxford?No, but we are often confused with the OUH NHS Trust Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital which is also located in Headington.
