Nuffield Health Tunbridge Wells Hospital is delighted to invite parents and carers to Little Lives, Big Questions – a series of informative and supportive paediatric talks led by our experienced consultants.

Held at our Tunbridge Wells Fitness and Wellbeing Centre, these evenings are designed to help parents better understand some of the most common health concerns affecting babies and children, with plenty of time for questions and discussion.

Whether you’re navigating the early months of parenthood or supporting an active growing child, these sessions aim to provide clear guidance, reassurance, and expert advice.

5.30pm – 6.30pm Mr Kumar Somasundaram, Consultant Paediatrician - Managing Crying in Babies

Crying is a normal part of infancy, but excessive or unsettled crying can be upsetting and exhausting for parents. This session will explore common reasons babies cry, signs of colic or reflux, what is normal, and practical strategies to help soothe babies and reassure parents.

6.45pm – 7.45pm Mr Rohit Gowda, Consultant Paediatrician - Tummy Troubles Explained

Abdominal pain, constipation, reflux, and feeding issues are common worries for parents. This session looks at the most frequent tummy problems in children, what causes them, how they are managed, and when symptoms may require further investigation or reassurance.

8.00pm – 9.00pm Mr Sri Mahalingam, Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon
Sniffles, Snoring & Recurrent Earache

Runny noses, ear infections, and snoring can all affect a child’s sleep, behaviour, and development. This talk will explain common ear, nose and throat conditions, when treatment is required, and when referral to a specialist may be helpful.
