Your initial 45-minute appointment involves an assessment and treatment. We assess your pain and symptoms to determine the cause of these symptoms, then recommend a treatment plan for you and begin this treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time.

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a profession whose aim is to encourage and support the return to normal following illness, surgery, disease or trauma. It can be effective in the treatment of a range of muscle, joint and nerve conditions.

Physiotherapists use a wide range of techniques such as manual therapy and exercise prescription to maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease.

We can offer expertise in upper limb and hand rehabilitation, pain management programmes and post-surgical recovery. Many of our therapists are also trained in Pilates, Acupuncture and Joint Manipulation, carrying out thorough biomechanical assessments to enhance and optimize function.

We have strong links with many orthopaedic consultants and have an excellent track record in the rehabilitation of upper and lower limb sports injuries. In addition we can offer pre and post natal treatment and advice as well as vertigo and balance rehabilitation with our vestibular specialist.

Since qualifying in 1976 Jackie has worked in the NHS setting up a paediatric physiotherapy service in a local children’s hospital and worked with MENCAP. 

She established her own private practice and managed a team of four physiotherapists for 24 years, where they treated numerous MSK and neurological conditions, provided hydrotherapy and domiciliary visits to chronically disabled clients. 

Jackie has vast experience in treating various MSK conditions and enjoys treating dancers from a local dance school.

How can I help you improve your health?

Since qualifying from Kings College in 2005 Lorraine has worked extensively in the NHS and privately. She has vast experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and has worked with various football teams in her early career.  Lorraine treats a large variety of non-surgical and surgical conditions, specialising particularly in shoulders and knees.  Lorraine teaches the shoulder course for Nuffield, providing education for other physiotherapists about assessment and treatment of shoulders.

As a Regional Clinical Lead, she clinically manages 8 Nuffield sites in the South East, providing clinical guidance and supervision.  In 2018, Lorraine gained an MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy Practice which furthered her education and knowledge within physiotherapy; she also practices acupuncture.

After graduating from King’s College London in 2008 Simon has gained experience in a number of musculoskeletal environments, ranging from professional football to spinal rehabilitation clinics. He specialises in treating spinal and pelvic girdle pain, especially those related to lower limb biomechanical issues. He has a special interest in ‘extended scope’ practices such as radiology, injection therapy and acupuncture, as well as clinical Pilates rehabilitation.

Andrew graduated in 2007 and gained experience working primarily within the NHS for 8 years, Andrew's passion is for MSK and sports injuries management and is keen to get you back to your sport or hobby as quickly as possible. He feels it is important to tailor your rehab to fit your personal goals and activities.

He also has a speciality within Paediatrics catering for children and adolescents as well as his adult patients. Over the past 2 years, through Nuffield Health, he has begun a service tailoring specialist musculoskeletal assessment for Paediatric patients. He also specialises in lower limb injuries and works closely with out foot and ankle consultants.
