Nuffield Health Tunbridge Wells Hospital is delighted to invite parents and carers to Little Lives, Big Questions – a series of informative and supportive paediatric talks led by our experienced consultants.

Held at our Tunbridge Wells Fitness and Wellbeing Centre, these evenings are designed to help parents better understand some of the most common health concerns affecting babies and children, with plenty of time for questions and discussion.

Whether you’re navigating the early months of parenthood or supporting an active growing child, these sessions aim to provide clear guidance, reassurance, and expert advice.

6pm - 7pm  - Miss Jo Dartnell, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon - Growing pains or something more?

Many children experience aches and pains as they grow — but how do you know what’s normal and when it might signal something more serious? This session will explore common causes of limb pain in children, how to recognise red flags, and when further assessment or treatment may be needed.

 7.15pm - 8.15pm Mr Nick Bowman, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon - Managing Sports Injuries in Children

As children become more active, sports injuries are increasingly common. This talk will cover typical injuries seen in young athletes, how growing bodies are different from adults, injury prevention, recovery times, and when specialist input is needed to support a safe return to sport.
