Miss Dua is a gynaecologist and a sub-specialist urogynaecologist practising as a consultant in the NHS for the last 12 years. She is an accredited subspecialist urogynaecologist and specialises in the treatment of vaginal prolapse, urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders, including vaginal, bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction.

Miss Dua trained in general gynaecology from Leeds and then completed a three-year specialist training in urogynaecology from Sheffield, focusing on the management of prolapse and incontinence. She is the clinical lead for urogynaecology at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and a Training Programme Director for the subspecialist training programme.

She provides a range of investigations and treatments for vaginal prolapse, incontinence, sexual dysfunction, recurrent UTIs and pelvic floor and perineal pain. She works closely with specialists from physiotherapy, urology and colorectal surgery to provide holistic and multidisciplinary care.

She also has an interest in research and has over 30 publications focusing on diagnosis, investigations, and management of urogynaecological issues. As the training programme director, she provides training to other surgeons in the management of urogynaecology conditions and pelvic floor dysfunction.

She holds membership in the British Society of Urogynaecology and the International Urogynaecology Association and is on the clinical governance committee and the curriculum development committee for these societies. She also provides lectures at local, national, and international conferences.
